Delhi Capitals (DC) captain Rishabh Pant was seen enjoying some light moments on the field with DC head coach Ricky Ponting's son during his team's practices session. The Delhi skipper played football with Fletcher Ponting while other DC players practised.
The IPL franchise shared a video of the Pant and Ponting playing football on its social media platforms and captioned it, "Just two friends vibing over football ⚽? We can't get enough of #RP17 and Fletcher Ponting playing together".

DC to lock horns with SRH in next league game
Now, coming to the Delhi Capitals' performance in IPL 2022, the Rishabh Pant-led team is seated at No.7 in the points table with eight points from nine games. They have lost to Lucknow twice, to Rajasthan, Bangalore, and Gujarat once. And have won against Mumbai and Punjab once and to Kolkata twice. Now, they will face Sunrisers Hyderabad in their next game with their playoff spot at stake. After that DC will play against Chennai, Rajasthan, Punjab and Mumbai.
Delhi have blown hot and cold this season just like their captain Rishabh Pant. They have failed to seize big moments in the game they have lost. Like against Lucknow Super Giants, DC lost by 6 runs. They had the game in control till the very end but just could not finish on the right side. There were some handy contributions from Mitchell Marsh, Rishabh Pant, Rovman Powell and Axar Patel. Barring Axar none of these players capitalized on the start they got.
While Mitchell Marsh fell to a wrong decision by the umpire, captain Rishabh Pant perished to his laziness. The batter could not put his bat in the right place and saw the ball hitting his stumps. Rovman Powell just could not sustain the pressure and fell to Mohsin Khan. Now, DC still have a good chance of making it to the last four with a big positive net run rate.
