The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are up against each other in the Match 7 of Indian Premier League 2022. Both the teams are coming into this fixture after a loss in their last league and would hope to get back to winning ways.

The CSK team made 3 changes to their team, with Moeen Ali, Dwaine Pretorius, and Mukesh Choudhary coming into the 11. While the LSG team brought experienced pacer Andrew Tye into the squad.

Batting at no.3 in the IPL 2022 opener against Kolkata Knight Riders, Robin Uthappa was promoted at the opening slot in this fixture. The move has worked out well for Jadeja and Co. as the team has got off to a flying start. Uthappa smashed a brilliant half-century off 25 balls, with 8 fours and a single six. His innings has provided a platform for the middle-order to post a strong total on the board. But, he was soon dismissed on a score of 50 by the spinner Ravi Bishnoi.

However, Uthappa could not continue for long and got out for the same score on his 27th delivery.

Earlier the orange cap holder of the last edition, Ruturaj Gaikwad could not contribute much and was dismissed early by a perfect throw from Bishnoi. At no.3 came Englishman Moeen Ali, who is playing his first match of the season and has been flawless to support Uthappa.

With close to 100 runs in less than 10 overs, the defending champions would be aiming to cross the score of 200 on a flat pitch and lesser boundary dimensions of Brabourne Stadium. In the last fixture at this ground, Delhi Capitals chased down a total of 177 on the board quite easily. With the dew factor also playing a key role, it will be important for CSK to continue the well-built momentum. While the LSG team will bank on the likes of Chameera and Bishnoi to contain CSK to as low a score as possible.
