Argentine forward Lionel Messi was in Qatar with his club Paris Saint Germain where he went head to head against a robot goalkeeper. The former Barcelona player was attempting a penalty kick but was denied by the robot. Messi aimed towards the right top corner but the robot instantaneously moved towards the ball and denied Messi his goal.

The 34-year-old has struggled with his time with PSG as he has registered his worst stats in decades. Hence his future in France has come under doubt. Recently, Barcelona manager Xavi had expressed that he will welcome his former teammate with open arms if there is a way to get him back.
He said, “Messi is the greatest of all time and he will always have the door open for him at Barca. As long as I am Barca’s coach, he is welcome any day. I think we owe him a big tribute. I think that as he is under contract with PSG, there is not much we can say. But if he wants to he can come to watch training and speak to the coach. What he has given us is priceless.”
Among these rumours, speculation about Lionel Messi moving to Inter Miami was brought up that included him owning a certain percentage of the MLS club. But these reports have been deemed incorrect by the Argentine’s agents.
They said the rumour “is completely false, Leo has not yet decided on his future. And if Leo Messi has crossed paths with David Beckham in the last few hours, it is only as part of PSG’s stay in Doha where the former English midfielder plays a role as an ambassador for the next World Cup in Qatar.”
