India's tennis star Rohan Bopanna is undoubtedly one of the best players the country has ever produced in this sport. The 41-year-old has had a scintillating doubles' career and is still looking at top of his game. While he, along with his partner Denis Shapovalov crashed out of the ongoing Madrid Open in quarter-finals at the hands of Alexander Zverev and Tim Puetz (6-4, 3-6, 10-5) on Saturday, Bopanna did produce a magical moment on the tennis court in Spain leaving everyone in awe.

Indian tennis star shows his creativity

It was the first set of the quarter-final match and Zverev-Puetz were 3-1 up. With Shapovalov serving at 30-30, it was a very crucial point in the context of the set. The Canadian produced a brilliant pacy serve as Puetz somehow managed to put his racquet on to it as the ball looped up in the air. While it looked like it won't cross the net, surprisingly it did and in fact, even spun after bouncing on the court. However, Rohan Bopanna, standing at the nets was alert to what was happening as he went around the net and came up with a cheeky return. While the rally continued, it was eventually finished off by a perfect volley from Bopanna, who deservingly earned the applause from the crowd.

While the brilliance from Bopanna was not enough for him and Shapovalov to qualify for the semis, the fans would be delighted to see the Indian star still displaying his skills at the biggest stage. The Indo-Canadian pair will now be seen taking part in the Italian Open, where they are scheduled to face Marcus Daniell and Philip Oswald in Round of 32.
