In a hilarious post-match interview, star India batsman Rohit Sharma, who is also famous for his nature of forgetting things, missed that pacer Jasprit Bumrah is not a part of the playing XI in the ongoing second Test against England in Chennai. Notably, the Indian pace spearhead has been rested for the second Test while Mohammed Siraj has been assigned his duties. However, Rohit seemed to have forgotten the change.

In a video uploaded by BCCI on late Saturday, Rohit Sharma could be seen joining Ajinkya Rahane in an interview session post the Day 1's play. Rohit, whose 161-run knock led India to 300/6 on the day, was discussing about the batsmen who are batting and those yet to come to bat. “Right now…Rishabh Pant is batting along with Axar (Patel)…Ishant will also come, Bumrah will also come…,” said Rohit before he recalled that the Gujarat pacer was not a part of the squad. However, soon after Rohit’s mistake, Rahane and Ishant, who came into the scene, were quick to remind him of the same.
