Virat Kohli's 100th Test kicked off in Mohali on Friday as India and Sri Lanka locked horns at IS Bindra Stadium. With fans allowed inside the stadium, it was a festive and momentous occasion as the man of the moment was felicitated before the start of match. And as the home side lost 2 wickets while batting, the wait to see King Kohli back in the middle ended.
The 33-year-old walked out to a standing ovation and looked at his absolute best. He left the balls which were going away from him and attacked the deliveries which deserved to be hit. The vintage Kohli was back in his milestone Test and as he also surpassed the 8000+ runs mark in red-ball cricket.

He played some gorgeous shots all around the ground and fans started to think that the much-awaited 71st hundred was finally going to arrive. Unfortunately for Kohli and everyone, things did not go according to the script.
Lasith Embuldeniya bowled a magical delivery which just spun away, beating the outside edge of Kohli's bat. The ball went on to crash into the stumps as the whole Mohali was left in shock. The reaction of all the fans was reflected perfectly by India's captain Rohit Sharma.
As the camera pointed towards the dressing room, Hitman was seen with his hands on his head in absolute disbelief as Kohli had been dismissed against the run of play.

Kohli scored 45 runs off 76 balls in first innings of 1st Test, hitting 5 boundaries. Few overs later, Hanuma Vihari (58 off 128) also got out as India's score read 175/4.
