Mumbai Indians are going through a rough patch in IPL 2022. They have lost five games on the trot. The five-time champions are hardly getting anything to celebrate on the field. Their dreadful outing this season has also forced their fans to stay silent. The Rohit Sharma-led team are playing their sixth game of the season in search of their first win.

Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants are locking horns at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. After opting to bowl first, MI did not have a great powerplay as they conceded 57 runs and could only manage one wicket. Seeing another rough start to a game, MI fans went quiet in the stadium. However, Rohit Sharma found a way to cheer them up with his cheekiness.

In the 7th over of the Lucknow innings, M Ashwin was bowling to KL Rahul and Manish Pandey. On the last ball of the over, M Ashwin bowled a full toss to Pandey who could just mistime it to covers fielder. The ball bumped before it went into the hands of Rohit Sharma but the MI skipper celebrated it like it was a catch to entertain the spectators.

Lucknow dominate MI bowlers!

After being put in to bat first, Lucknow batters made a mockery of MI's bowling as they aggregated at least eight runs in every over (except for Jasprit Bumrah). The most expensive bowler on the day was Tymal Mills who finished the innings with the bowling figures of 3-0-54-0. He was taken to the cleaners by LSG batters right from the start. He gave away 15 runs in his first over.

He leaked 18 runs in his second over of the day. And in the last over, he was hit all around the park by KL Rahul and Deepak Hooda as he conceded 21 runs. The second most expensive bowler for MI was Fabian Allen who conceded 46 runs in his 4 overs. M Ashwin gave away 33 while Jaydev Unadkat ended the game with bowling figures of 4-0-32-2. Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah gave away only 24 runs in his four overs.
