Rohit Sharma is regarded as one of the most successful skippers in the history of the Indian Premier League. Having won five titles for Mumbai Indians, Sharma has etched his name in the league's history. However, Sharma didn't have the kind of edition he hoped for as the five-time champions became the first team to get eliminated from the highly competitive tournament and, for the first time will end at the bottom of the points table.

Although Rohit could not deliver an impressive performance with his bat and led the side to a respectful stage, he recently won the hearts of many with his special gesture for Mumbai Indian's new buy, Dewald Brevis. While participating in one of the interviews, Sharma humbly asked the South African young prodigy to take centre stage and sit in the centre chair.

In response, Brevis told Rohit that it was his chair, and he couldn't sit on it, but Rohit requested Brevis to enjoy the moment and sit in the centre with a smile on his face. Notably, Jaydev Unadkat was witnessing everything from one corner of the chair. Notably, Rohit's modest gesture impressed netizens as many lauded Sharma for promoting youngsters and being the natural leader of the pack.

Check out how Twitterati reacted to this:

Speaking of both the players, Rohit could only score just 218 runs in twelve games at an average of 18.18, while Brevis could only add 124 runs in his debut edition at an average of 20.67, but at a strike rate of 155.00. With three wins in 12 games, Mumbai Indians are at the bottom of the points table and will play their second last game against Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 17 at iconic Wankhede Stadium Mumbai.
