Zenit St. Petersburg claimed the Russian Premier League title by defeating Lokomotiv Moscow 6-1 on Sunday. Zenit captain Artem Dzyuba dressed up as Deadpool to collect his winner's medal. The 32-year-old striker scored a brace in their win against second-placed Lokomotiv Moscow. Before the ceremony began, Artem bolted towards the dressing room and emerged as Deadpool taking the stage with his son to receive the medal.

"Deadpool can do everything, the best thing about him is regeneration, so it's me," said Dzyuba. "I've had this costume for ages. It's our third title in a row so I can allow myself the chance to wear it. I have long wanted to wear it, but during the second championship I did not dare, and during the first there was no time for that."

There is no doubt that Artem Dzyuba is the hero of Zenit's championship win. The striker is the league's leading goal scorer with 16 goals, and he also managed to provide 6 assists in the season.

After receiving the trophy, he added, “I’ll take it off as soon as I get to the locker room. It’s hot, I almost suffocated in it.”

On the following morning, Zenit's Twitter account updated that the Deadpool actor Ryan Ronalds had liked the photo of Dzyuba accepting his RPL medal in the Deadpool costume. Check the tweet below:

Zenit St. Petersburg has now increased their titles tally to seven. They are just three behind the record of ten titles held by Spartak Moscow(last won in 2016-17).
