The second game of Super Sunday turned out to be a blockbuster for RCB fans as their new skipper Faf du Plessis set the stage on fire with his fantabulous shots. du Plessis made it up for his slow start in the middle overs as he hit some sensational sixes. As the new RCB captain was looking all set for the first century for the season, his innings was cut short by an equally good catch by Shahrukh Khan.

The fielder placed at long-off, covered some decent amount of distance, around 20 yards, to set himself for a forward dive. He then made a full-length dive towards the ball and grabbed it inches off the ground. The ball was hit with some good timing, but Khan made his best effort to grab the ball as it seemed to be dying on him.

Watch Khan's fabulous catch here:

Notably, Shahrukh was the fielder who had dropped du Plessis when he was batting on 7. Although Khan made it up for the dropped catch with a sensational effort, it was too late for Punjab. Plessis had already done the damage with his blistering 88 off 57 balls.

RCB first to go past 200

On the back of the batting heroics from du Plessis and Dinesh Karthik, RCB became the first team to put a total over 200. Virat Kohli also had a fine contribution in this mammoth total. While du Plessis was coming charging at the bowlers, Kohli was making sure the captain gets the strike. The duo also formed a 118-run partnership before Sharukh Khan struck like lightning. But the run flow did not stop for RCB even after Plessis' wicket.

Dinesh Karthik took the aggressor's role as the wicketkeeper batter brought his finishing prowess to the fore. Karthik smashed 32* off 14 balls with the help of three fours and as many sixes. Meanwhile, Kohli finished with the scores 41* off 29 balls.
