What an action-packed game this is turning out to be between the Lucknow Super Giants and the Gujarat Titans. While the much-anticipated game happens to be the first one for both these franchises in the Indian Premier League, so far it has only gone Gujarat Titans' way.

Not only did they win the toss but pacer Mohammed Shami then gave them a breakthrough of the very first ball of the match to get rid of Lucknow captain KL Rahul for a duck. Not much later, Shami returned to remove the other opener Quinton de Kock before Shubman Gill produced a bit of brilliance on the pitch to remove Evin Lewis.

In the 3rd ball of the 4th over which was being bowled by Varun Aaron, Lewis looked to pull the ball but just managed a top edged over the square leg. However, Gill easily covered 25 yards running backwards towards the rope before diving to complete the catch.

Have a look at Gill's effort here:

Although the fall of Lewis reduced Lucknow Super Giants to 20/3, Shami then was handed a third over by captain Hardik Pandya and he struck again dismissing Manish Pandey to invite further troubles for Lucknow with the scoreboard reeling at 29/4.

The first match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai had also not been a high-scoring game as Chennai Super Kings managed 131/5 in that fixture, recovering from early breakthroughs before Kolkata Knight Riders chased it down, finishing the run chase in the 19th over. It took an MS Dhoni unbeaten fifty lower down the order for CSK to reach 130, it remains to be seen if anybody is able to provide that impetus to the Lucknow innings.
