In a chaotic football world, most of which is still trembling with the shock waves after Lionel Messi was confirmed to have made an exit from Barcelona, nobody seems to have a clue as to how to deal with the situation or what to expect in the future. There is little doubt that the news also brings an end to a great era for the Spanish club Barcelona and it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that Messi and Barca were made for each other.
However, the vacuum created by his absence is also going to be immense. It was in Barca colours that Messi transformed from a talented teenager to a youngster full of potential and also to one of the greatest footballers that has ever graced the ground. To suddenly see him in a different colour, appears to be quite a difficult thing to digest for some. Messi, through his out-of-the-world performances, attracted a fan base that would remain loyal not only to him and the club but to the Spanish league at large.
While there have been goal-scorers in the past and there will be some terrific goal-scorers in the future, but there are few chances that someone would make goal-scoring look as ridiculously easy and create chances out of nowhere on the pitch as Messi. Although he is still not done with the sport, there is no confirmation about his future yet.
For Barcelona fans, however, the news has not come in a good taste and most of them are struggling to come to terms with a huge loss. While some have begun to show their anger at Antoine Griezman, some were not pleased with the management. A few were seen crying outside the Camp Nou last night.
However, none of these came close to a rather spectacular meltdown seen in the manic El Chiringuito TV show. After the development broke out, broadcaster Cristobal Soria's did not seem to be in control of his senses as he began to start thinking about a Messi less Barcelona.

Soria's rant happens to be one of the many emotional responses to the current situation after Messi could not agree on a deal with Barca.
