Sri Lanka recently suffered a humiliating whitewash at the hands of England in a three-match T20I series. The loss not only disappointed the Lankan greats, but also enraged the fans, many of whom expressed their disappointment by calling it a sad moment for Sri Lankan cricket and unfollowing the national team players on social media.
However, regardless of the embarrassing defeat and the consequesnces that followed, Sri Lankan players Kusal Mendis and Niroshan Dickwella were seen getting out breaching the bio-bubble and sharing a smoking substance in public. A video of the the two cricketers at a public place in England has gone viral on social media, with netizens criticizing the cricketers.
Mendis and Dickwella were seemingly intoxicated. Meanwhile, the two were trying to hide the smoking substance from the public; however it was visibly caught on camera.

Netizens promptly reacted to the video, which has now got viral on social media. Some of them wrote that the two were possibly carrying cigarettes, while some took names of other intoxicants that Mendis and Dickwella could possibly be hiding. The public further slammed the Sri Lankan cricketers for enjoying right after a disappointing performance on field. Fans also criticized them stating that such players don’t deserve to be in the team and should not be given a contract for their national side.
