The Golden State Warriors started the 2021-22 NBA finals with a bang as the splash brothers Klay Thompson and Steph Curry each were hitting their shots. One such moment where both these greats combined was a three-pointer where Curry dropped a no-look dime to Thompson and then run back to on defence, trusting his teammate.

Similarly, Klay Thompson withheld Steph Curry’s trust and iced the jumper in the first half. But the Dubs couldn’t continue their red-hot form after the third quarter as Boston’s Jaylen Brown Derrick White and Al Horford lead the comeback and took a 120-108 victory.

I just know we'll be better in Game 2: Thompson

After the game, Klay Thompson reacted to the loss and said, “I remember just putting [those Game 1 losses] past us. There's no reason to hold on to a loss when you have another game so soon. I remember watching film and realizing, there's many things we can do better, and applying those strategies. So it's pretty simple. And I just know we'll be better in Game 2. I'll be better.”

I believe in who we are: Curry

Similarly, Steph Curry also talked about the defeat and said, "It's not ideal. But I believe in who we are and how we deal with adversity, how we responded all year, how we've responded in the playoffs after a loss. So learn a lot from that fourth quarter." Curry then also praised the Celtics for their performance and declared that the Warriors need to reply on Sunday. "We know they are a good team," Curry said. "So are we. We have to respond on Sunday," he added.
