The last few days have been absolutely fantastic for the Australian cricketers as they produced some spectacular performances against England to retain the Ashes urn. Although they have got a much-needed one week break before the next match, it's still nothing of any action and drama for their vice-captain Steve Smith.

On Thursday evening, the 32-year-old landed himself in a bit of trouble after he got stuck in the lift of his hotel on the 20th floor. Notably, Smith spent around 55 minutes before Marnus Lanuschangne and Co. got him out of the lift.

Smith has been in fine form in Ashes 2021-22

In the ongoing Ashes 2021-22, the right-handed batsman hasn't really played any big knock yet but has looked in fine touch. Apart from captaining his side to a big win in Adelaide, Smith has scored 127 runs in 4 innings at an average of 31.75 and fans might believe that his best is yet to come in the remaining two matches.

After winning the first 3 matches quite convincingly, Australia are now scheduled to play the 4th Test (from Jan 5) in Sydney and the 5th Test (from Jan 14) in Hobart.
