It was ecstasy for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) fans on Thursday as their team progressed to the next round of IPL 2022 after eliminating Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). The Faf du Plessis-led team beat LSG by 14 runs in a must-win game and broke the Eliminator jinx. Although the team still has two big games before they lift their maiden trophy, the fans are already over the moon seeing RCB’s performance in the Eliminator.
Bangalore put up a massive 207/4 while batting first and then restricted LSG to 193/6 to book themselves a spot in Qualifier 2 against Rajasthan Royals. It was an emotional moment for RCB players and their fans as they survived quite a few hiccups before coming to this level. And it showed in their celebrations after the win over LSG.
Virat Kohli looked pumped up after the win while Dinesh Karthik had huge relief on his face. Meanwhile, RCB fans celebrated with their hearts out. There were chants of RCB RCB in the stadium as well as in different parts of the country. One of the interesting visuals came from a boys' hostel where everyone was celebrating aggressively after RCB’s win.
A video of the same is going viral on the internet. In the video, boys are seen clanging utensils and chanting RCB RCB while roaming around in the corridor of the hostel.

Big task ahead of du Plessis and Co.
Although RCB have broken the Eliminator jinx, it won’t be an easy task for them in the next game. Rajasthan Royals are under the pump to deliver after being thrashed by Gujarat Titans in Qualifier 1. Sanju Samson and Co. will be desperate for a win which will make them a more dangerous side. Thus, Faf du Plessis and Co. will have a tough task ahead of themselves when they face RR in Qualifier 2.
