Former IPL champions Sunrisers Hyderabad are working hard in their training sessions as they gear up for the IPL 2021 season resumption. While it wasn't the best start to the season for them in the first half in India, they would have to believe that they can turn it around given this would be a fresh start.

To hone their fielding skills, the SRH players were part of a new fielding drill and were, in fact, competing against the support staff. While cricketing logic would have led fans and people to believe that it would be the players who would win but that wasn't the case as the support staff members were up to the task and defeated the current crop of SRH players in the drill.

SRH posted the video with the caption,” Winner Winner Chicken Dinner? Guess who ended up as the winners and earned the chicken dinner in the fielding drill #OrangeArmy #OrangeOrNothing.”

The video also explains the rules of the fielding drill. Firstly, teams would have to hit each stump starting from the tallest to the shortest. Each team will have one try to hit the stumps. On successfully hitting the stumps you get another try. And the first team to hit all the stumps and the ruby ball wins.

Consequently, it was the support staff who won the competition.

Talking about the Orange Army, they are ranked 8th in the points table so far with just a solitary win to their name. They even changed their captain from David Warner to Kane Williamson. Ahead of IPL 2021 season resumption, they were handed a big blow as Jonny Bairstow pulled out of the second phase of the tournament.

Later West Indies batter Sherfane Rutherford was announced as Bairstow's replacement. “The explosive Caribbean is now a Riser,” SRH said in a tweet. Rutherford has been in splendid form at the Caribbean Premier League and has already smashed three half-centuries in the ongoing season. The Orange Army would be expecting that he continues in a similar fashion at the top of the order for the team so he can replace somebody like a Baistow who had been doing a similar job for the team in the past.
