Virat Kohli & Co have reunited at Durham prior to the five-match Test series against England and have commenced their preparations for the forthcoming red-ball assignment. While they are to play a warm-up match at this venue starting from July 20, they will also be hoping that Rishabh Pant recovers quickly before the first Test match and gets some practice before going out on the middle.

And now prior to the game against County Select XI, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has shared a video of the team's first strength and mobility session in Durham. The video features the likes of skipper Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah and others as all are seen sweating it out on the ground. Not only can the players be seen jogging and running but they were also enjoying a game of football and some fielding drills. In what could be the highlight of the video, King Kohli is seen laughing while rolling on the floor.

"Strength and mobility session for #TeamIndia as we regroup in Durham with preparations underway for the #ENGvIND Test series.. P.S. Snippets from @coach_rsridhar's birthday celebrations," BCCI captioned the post.

While the Kohli-led side is in the United Kingdom, a separate white-ball team studded with youngsters and led by Shikhar Dhawan is currently in Sri Lanka for a six-match white-ball tour beginning this Sunday. Although the team has six uncapped cricketers, it also boasts of experienced campaigners like Dhawan himself along with Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav.

The series could be a big one for the spinning duo of "Kul-Cha" who gradually seem to be drifting away from the management's radar. They are also likely to get at least a few matches together on this tour, given they formed a successful pair in the past.

Talking about the red-ball squad in the UK, they will be playing their warm-up at the Chester-le-Street from the coming Tuesday. However, there are big question marks over the wicketkeeper's slot. This is because while Pant has tested positive for COVID-19, his backup Wriddhiman Saha was deemed a close contact of another COVID- patient and has been sent into 10-day isolation.
