The first half of match no. 24 between Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals was rather short of action with the RR batsmen struggling to score runs on a flat track in Delhi. After a steady start provided by Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal, the fans got to see some brilliant bowling from Rahul Chahar and Jasprit Bumrah which never allowed the opposition to put the foot on the accelerator.

Boult shows his class once again

After the end of 17 overs, Rajasthan Royals were very placed in the contest with the score reading 145/2. They had two set batsmen at the crease in the form of Sanju Samson and Shivam Dube who were looking to provide an explosive end to the innings. However, skipper Rohit Sharma realized that it was an important over and introduced Trent Boult into the attack. The left-arm pacer certainly did not disappoint his skipper as he bowled three perfect deliveries to conceded only three runs half-way through the over. With Samson trying to cut loose, Boult produced one of the best yorkers of the season. The delivery, which was right into the blockhole completely bamboozled the RR skipper as it crashed onto the stumps, lighting up the LED fitted.

It was a very crucial moment of the game as Boult, who finished with figures of 4-0-37-1 dismissed Sanju Samson (42 off 27) which could have made a difference of 10-15 runs in the end as RR lost their way post the dismissal of their captain.

Bumrah's figure of 4-0-15-1 also helped them restrict Rajasthan for 171 in the stipulated 20 overs. Rohit Sharma-led side will now take on the crease to chase the total in the ongoing match.
