Cricket West Indies (CWI) confirmed that both the players are now conscious and stable. “Chinelle Henry and Chedean Nation were taken to hospital for medical attention. Both Henry and Nation are conscious and stable at the hospital and are being assessed,” confirmed Cricket West Indies in a statement.

West Indies women went on to win the match by seven runs by the D/L method. Nation made a crucial contribution with the bat and scored 28 runs before going off the field in the second innings. Courtney Walsh, the head coach, said that she was happy that the team won for the two ladies.

“It isn't very easy in those conditions and situations. I am just happy that the team was able to go over the line for those two ladies, who were not with us and we are just waiting on all the information that we can get. They have our full support and we will be riding with them as well,” said Walsh after the match.

After West Indies women scored 125 for 6 in their 20 overs, Pakistan women were given a D/L target of 111 in 18 overs. However, they could only manage to score 103 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. Nida Dar was their top scorer with 29 runs. Surprisingly, Pakistan women lost five of their six wickets to run out.

With two consecutive wins, West Indies women have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. The last match will be played on July 4.
