After a long wait of 2 years, the ever-exciting Pro Kabaddi League has finally returned and the ongoing edition has been nothing short of any action so far. From Naveen Kumar weaving his magic in the raiding department to experienced Surjeet Singh showing his class in defense, the fans have been treated to some scintillating skills in first half of the 2021-22 season.

However, something extremely outrageous happened on Day 21 of the season (January 11) which left everyone in shock. In match 47, U Mumba were completely outplayed as they suffered a heavy 23-43 defeat at the hands of Patna Pirates. But despite the loss, it was a player from U Mumba who stole the show with an effort which has been etched in history books forever.

Have you ever seen anything like this?

In the dying moments of first half, Patna Pirates were close to inflicting another all-out on their opponents which would have given them a huge lead going into the break. With only 2 defenders from U Mumba left on the mat, Patna’s Sachin came in to raid to complete the task. His work was made easy when Harendra Kumar’s foot crossed the back line and he was given self-out.

As a result, Sachin was left all alone with Rinku Hari and it just looked like a matter of seconds before U Mumba’s all out. However, Rinku was in no mood to give up! Even when Sachin extended his hand to Rinku asking him to surrender, the defender denied doing so as he wanted to fight until the last second of the raid.

Much to everyone’s surprise, Rinku jumped towards Sachin and held his foot with both hands. While the raider tried his level best to free himself, he was given no chance by the extremely solid hold of U Mumba defender. As it turned out, the clock touched the 30-seconds mark which meant that the raid was finished and U Mumba had instead earned 2 points through super tackle instead of getting all-out.

It was undoubtedly a herculean effort by Rinku whose heroics left everyone in awe. The U Mumba defender has been a revelation for them this season and fans would indeed be hoping to see the youngster continue to shine and become a superstar in future.
