It is an exciting IPL encounter underway at the DY Patil Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai this Wednesday evening with Kolkata Knight Riders taking on the Lucknow Super Giants. While Kolkata would want to reach the 14 points to have any chances of reaching the Playoffs, Lucknow wouldn’t want to drop points at this stage either as a win would be their best bet to secure qualification in the Qualifier 1.

Before the start of this high-voltage match number 66 of the IPL 2022, the two captains shared a hilarious moment at the toss. It was the Kolkata skipper Shreyas Iyer who was the home captain for this match and had to toss the coin with Lucknow captain KL Rahul having to call. However, Shreyas tossed the coin and it flew quite some distance before eventually landing as heads, which was the call from Rahul.

Before announcing his decision to bat, Rahul quickly had a cheeky comment to Shreyas saying “Udhar daal de aur” (Throw it away further). Even Shreyas responded to his comment.

Both the sides have made changes to their respective Playing XIs for this match. While Lucknow have made three changes, Kolkata were also forced to make a change.

“We have three changes – Krunal Pandya has a niggle, so he sits out. Chameera and Ayush Badoni miss out. We’ve got in Manan Vohra, Evin Lewis and K Gowtham,” Rahul confirmed at the toss.

“Since Ajinkya Rahane is injured, Abhijeet Tomar comes in for him,” Shreyas said.
