The ongoing tussle between Ukraine and Russia is grabbing a lot of attention. People from all walks of society are raising their voices against Russia for invading Ukraine. Atalanta midfielder Ruslan Malinovskyi on Thursday voiced his message for peace with a 'no-war' celebration during his side's clash against Olympiakos in the Europa League. Notably, Atalanta maintained their winning streak against the Greek club by defeating them twice on Thursday.

With that win on Thursday, Gian Piero Gasperini's guided side has advanced into the Round of 16 of the Europa League. Ukrainian midfielder Malinovskyi emerged as a standout performer for his club as he found the back of the net twice in their clinical 3-0 win. While his impressive performance guided his side into the Round of 16, Malinovskyi also won many hearts with his celebration, which had a message of peace.

As the midfielder's country is battling with Russia's invasion, Malinovksyi didn't shy away from revealing the "No War in Ukraine" message under his T-shirt after scoring against Olympiakos on Thursday. Malinovksyi's celebration has garnered a lot of appreciation from all-around and getting massive support as millions extended their support to Ukraine amidst one of the worst military conflicts the world has witnessed recently.

On Friday, UEFA took stern action against Russia by stripping off the country's rights of hosting the UEFA Champions League final. The marquee football fixture was to be hosted by St Peterburg on May 28 and has now been moved to Paris. UEFA condemned the attack on Ukraine and also pledged to support footballers who are stuck in the country and want to be rescued amid war with Russia.

"Together with the French government, Uefa will fully support multi-stakeholder efforts to ensure the provision of rescue for football players and their families in Ukraine who face dire human suffering, destruction and displacement," said UEFA in a statement.
