Umesh Yadav has been out of the white-ball scheme of things in the recent past. While he has been with the Indian team in the Test squad, the right-arm pacer hasn't really impressed the selectors to get a place in the limited-overs team. Moreover, Yadav wasn't even finding a buyer in IPL 2022 and went unsold before Kolkata Knight Riders decided to include him in their team.

And much to the surprise of many fans and the delight of the Kolkata management, Umesh has been in sensational form in IPL 2022. The 34-year-old was adjudged the Player of the Match in the tournament opener against Chennai Super Kings as he finished with 2 wickets for 20 runs in his 4 overs.

And now he has picked 2 already against the Royal Challengers Bangalore as they are trying to defend only 128. Not only did he dismiss Anuj Rawat but he even picked up the big wicket of Virat Kohli, getting him to nick one through to the keeper in the 1st ball of the third over.
