The 19th game of the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is being played between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. KKR captain Shreyas Iyer opted to bowl first after winning the toss. But the decision backfired as DC's opening pair of David Warner and Prithvi Shaw amassed 68 runs in the first six overs.

Prithvi Shaw was the one who was leading the charge for Delhi Capitals. The right-handed batter continued from where he left in the last match. He was hitting every bowler for fun. But he was taken aback by a bouncer from KKR speedster Umesh Yadav in the third over of the innings.

On the fifth delivery of the over, Yadav bowled a sharp bouncer which Shaw tried to pull away. But the batter missed the line and the ball hit his helmet. Such was the pace on the ball that it went for a boundary after hitting Shaw's helmet.

Shaw continues his brutal hitting

After smashing a 30-ball fifty against Lucknow Super Giants, Shaw hit another one against Kolkata Knight Riders. But this time he took three balls lesser to cross the 50-run mark. Although the pitch was better to bat on, Shaw hit some clinical shots to keep KKR bowlers on the backfoot. He hit in-form Umesh Yadav for ten runs in the very first over of the innings.

He once again took charge against Umesh Yadav in his second over as he pulled away a short-pitch delivery from Yadav to the fence. He got hit on his helmet on the next one but that didn't stop him from smashing the KKR bowlers. He scored another boundary in the over right on the next ball he got hit. Shaw then smoked Cummins and Venkatesh Iyer for two sixes in his innings. He then got to his fifty in 27 balls.
