The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is into its 13th group match. The Tuesday evening is seeing two Royals of IPL taking on each other. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) are battling it out at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai to prove who the real Royal is. After winning the toss, RCB captain Faf du Plessis opted to field first and his bowlers did not disappoint him at all.

The new-ball pair of David Willey and Mohammed Siraj started incredibly for RCB with Willey dismissing Yashasvi Jaiswal in his very first over. Akash Deep also complemented the two bowlers well as he created chances with his disciplined bowling. On the back of this brilliant bowling, RCB kept RR's score in the first six overs to only 35/1.

However, after the end of the powerplay, the RR duo of Devdutt Padikkal and Jos Buttler started finding boundaries and scored some quick runs. But it got interesting with Harshal Patel being brought into the attack. The most successful bowler for RCB last season kept the batters in check with his beautiful bowling. He also broke the half-century stand between Padikkal and Buttler.

He dismissed Padikkal off a slower delivery. But that was not the interesting part. The special bit about that wicket was that it came off an extra delivery which the umpire made Patel bowl. Prior to that delivery, Patel had bowled a slower bouncer which the on-field umpire gave wide and Patel had to bowl an extra ball.

RCB bowlers keep it tight

As already mentioned, RCB bowlers have bowled tight lines and have not given many freebies. Harshal Patel himself did brilliantly to concede only nine runs in his first three overs and also take a wicket. Apart from Patel, Wanindu Hasarnaga also did well to dismiss Sanju Samson cheaply as the captain had looked good in the first two games for RR.
