It's a festive environment in the entire city of Paris as the world's best player - Lionel Messi - has officially been unveiled as PSG player on Wednesday. The 34-year-old completed the medical and all other technical formalities yesterday and the deal was officially confirmed later in the night. With the deal done and dusted, an official press conference took place at Parc des Princes stadium today and this was it - Messi's sensational move to PSG was officially completed.

The Argentine has received a grand welcome at his new home since he has landed in France. From the airport to the hospital to his hotel, thousands of fans have been following Messi just to get a glimpse of the player. Things got a bit too majestic on Wednesday after Messi came out of the stadium post his press conference to greet his fans.

Fans welcome Messi in some style

While Messi did not have much to say, it was the PSG fans who did the talking as they created an incredible atmosphere to let their love known to the footballer. The 34-year-old had his new PSG jersey (number 30) and the team scarf around his neck as he looked overwhelmed with the awe-inspiring atmosphere outside Parc des Princes stadium.

Reflecting on the sequence of events since yesterday, the little magician himself admitted that he has never experienced something like this ever before in his career. "I’m very grateful – grateful to the people in the street. I was in Barcelona when the press told me about that. I’ve seen things from Spain and the people were already outside in Paris and it was incredible to see them outside in the streets. I am grateful and want to thank them and now I really want to see them in the city in the stadium. It will be an incredible year and we are going to enjoy this," said Messi.

Talking about the last few hours, Messi said that it has been a beautiful experience so far in Paris. "We are in a spectacular city and we are going to enjoy it. We are relaxed and happy," he said. The 34-year-old added that he feels impatient and happy about his new life and is processing everything every day, little by little.
