The Royal Challengers Bangalore have been unsuccessful to lift the trophy in the tournament’s history, but they have a huge fan base due to former captain and legendary Indian player Virat Kohli, who is also the leading run-scorer in the IPL.
A recent video of Virat Kohli along with RCB team-mates like Mohammed Siraj, Faf du Plessis, and others have resurfaced on Twitter, where they are doing the ‘Neymar’ kind of celebration in the team huddle ahead of the start of the match between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore at Wankhede Stadium.
Watch the video:
The same celebration was started by Sri Lanka and RCB leg-spinner, Wanindu Hasaranga after taking wickets. The leg-spinner had said, "My favorite football player is Neymar and favourite cricketer is Virat Kohli, so my celebration is a mix of Kohli's aggression & Neymar's dance."
In the Match 13 of IPL 2022, Rajasthan Royals have done well to post a target of 169 runs on the board, on the back of Buttler’s 70*, and Padikkal and Hetymer contributing 37 and 42* respectively. The RCB bowlers were impressive until the 18 overs of the 1st innings, after which they gave away a total of 42 runs in the last 2 to help the Royals gain momentum and provide enough to their bowlers.
In response, Royal Challengers Bangalore started off on a positive note by scoring 45+ in the power-play overs. But, as the fielding restrictions have eased, the Royals have put their authority and have picked the wickets of Faf Du Plessis, Anuj Rawat, Virat Kohli, and David Willey in a matter of 3 overs. The ace spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has scalped 2 wickets along with 1 run-out dismissal as well, while Saini has picked a single wicket.
