Former India captain Virat Kohli is widely regarded as one of the greatest batters of the contemporary era. He is an absolute run-machine. He is a giant of the game and some even regard him as the Greatest of All-time. However, even the mighty Kohli has ups and downs in his career. While at the peak of his powers, Kohli almost scored 1000 runs in an IPL season in 2016, he just cannot buy a run in IPL 2022.

The great man has already scored three golden ducks in the season and while he did look good for a big one during his short stay at the wicket on Friday, he had to go back after a successful DRS by Punjab Kings in the second ball of the 4th over. The replays showed that the ball had brushed his gloves before being caught by the fielder at short fine leg and the on-field decision of not out had to be overturned.

As Kohli had to walk back to the pavilion for 20, he looked up to the heavens in disbelief and was even caught murmuring a few words, perhaps to himself, perhaps to his own fortune and as commentator Harsha Bhogle noted perhaps hoping for some divine justice.

The video of the same has surfaced on social media:

IPL loyalties aside, every Indian cricket fan would be hoping to see Kohli back on the top of his game. With several tournaments like the Asia Cup T20 and the T20 World Cup lined up later this year, the Men in Blue would be hoping to see a firing Kohli in that competition.
