Former Indian skipper Virat Kohli was once back in action as team India took on Leicestershire during a 4-day warm-up match at Grace Road, Leicester. After a gruelling IPL 2022 season, Virat Kohli resumed the national duties hoping to improve his form and get some runs under his belt. As the dynamic batter comes out in the middle, the crowd erupted in joy.

While the Indian batter treated his fans with some cracking shots during his short stay at the middle, his picturesque pull shot in the 38th over to Prasidh Krishna's short delivery for a maximum stood out. It was the second delivery of the over when Krishna bowled a short delivery, but Kohli perfectly used the depth in the crease and had all the time of his life to pull the ball at deep square leg for a maximum. Even the commentators were highly impressed with Kohli's shot as they lauded the Indian batter for a beautiful shot.

Roman Walker emerged as a standout bowler for Leicestershire as he picked the wickets of skipper Rohit Sharma (25 off 47), Hanuma Vihari (3 off 23), Virat Kohli (33 off 69), Ravindra Jadeja (13 off 13) and Shardul Thakur (6 off 4). Will Davis and Prasidh Krishan also picked two and one wickets, respectively.
