The India Premier League (IPL) is growing in reputation with every passing year. It is already the biggest T20 tournament in the world which many also believe to be the best. The enormous talent at display in the competition has made fans vouch for the quality of cricket the tournament produces every year. However, another major plus from the league is that international rivalries are forgotten, at least for the duration of the IPL season. That's the reason one can get a Warner-Bairstow opening partnership or a Pandya-Pollard bromance story. The cultural boundaries are transcended through cricket and another similar incident has unfolded this year.

Warner, Williamson fast with teammates during Ramadan

While there is intense cricketing action in the tournament, it coincides with the ninth month of the Islamic calendar observed by practicing Muslims as a month of fasting. All those believing in this faith fast from sunrise to sunset. IPL franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad have quite a few members who observe the month-long fasting including star Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi, Mujeeb ur Rahman and Khaleel Ahmed. However, they were not alone in fasting during the IPL as even Australian opener David Warner and New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson joined them in fasting.

I'm very thirsty and hungry: David Warner

While breaking their fast at sunset, Rashid asks Warner about how is his fasting going to which the Australian replies that he is very thirsty and hungry and his mouth is dry. Meanwhile, Williamson said that he was feeling good. Rashid posted this video on his social media profile and the same has gone viral on internet as netizens haven't been able to keep calm after Warner and Williamson's gesture. The Orange Army, however, are yet to win a game in IPL 2021 so far and would be keen on getting back to the winning track.
