Indian all-rounder Washington Sundar has been enjoying life in England while playing county cricket for Lancashire. As the Roses registered a clinical win over Yorkshire CC where Sundar had a great game as he picked up one wicket while giving up just 35 runs in 10 overs. He dismissed Dom Bess and then took Ben Coad’s catch off Luke Wells’ bowling.

Sundar also finished off the game as he hit the winning runs as Lancashire chased down 224 in 41 overs to register a seven-wicket win. After the match, the entire team were celebrating and dancing when their social media team spotted a shy Washington Sundar who was hiding behind the cameraperson taking the video. Soon the camera panned at the Indian all-rounder who was trying his best to keep up with his teammates. Sundar then was seen jokingly trying to cover the camera as they celebrated a big win.

Before joining Lancashire, Washington Sundar already had a desire to play for the Manchester-based team as it was his team of choice while playing cricket on the PlayStation. Addressing this memory, he said, “I remember myself playing Playstation with the Lancashire team against most of the domestic games over here. I used to be Andrew Flintoff because he would give me four overs of solid pace, and obviously, he could come down at six or seven and will tink some huge sixes,” said Sundar.

Because of this reason, he was extremely excited to play for the Roses as he said, “It is great to be here playing for Lancashire. Lancashire has got some exciting talents and some very experienced players. I am looking forward to sharing the dressing room with them and a lot of knowledge about how cricket is played over here. Most importantly, win a lot of games and make memories. Lancashire has shown faith in me, and I would love to repay it by winning games for them.”
