Sunrisers Hyderabad all-rounder Washington Sundar pulled off a great effort in the deep in the fourth ball of the fourth over of the Chennai Super Kings innings on Sunday. After electing to field first, Hyderabad were looking for a breakthrough in the powerplay after CSK openers had already got the Men in Yellow off to a steady start, scoring 18 in the first 3.

Trying to save a boundary on this particular occasion to keep the run flow in check and exert some kind of pressure, Washington dived to his left and only managed to partially stop the ball. As he tried to collect it, the ball slips out of his hand again before he finally threw the ball back. However, he immediately checked the webbing which he had split earlier in the tournament.

After the effort, Sundar left the field with a suspected injury. An official statement is still awaited.
