Royal Challengers Bangalore all-rounder Washington Sundar pulled off a sensational catch to dismiss Mumbai Indians opener Chris Lynn in the ongoing first game of IPL 2021. Notably, the curtain raiser saw RCB captain Virat Kohli winning the toss and opting to bowl first. Mumbai lost Rohit Sharma early when the team's score was only 24. Then Chris Lynn and Suryakumar Yadav added 70 runs for the second wicket before the latter lost his wicket to Kyle Jamieson.

In a bid to maintain the run-rate, Lynn tried to hit spinner Washington into the stands but miscued the shot. The ball went high in the air and for a point it seemed that no one would reach near the ball. However, Washington knew he didn't have a mid-on fielder and hence he ran long way towards the back and grabbed the ball before it could touch the ground.
