The ongoing fifth Test match between England and India is bringing the best out of both teams. After India posted a mammoth 416 in the first innings, England managed to score 284 in response, courtesy of Jonny Bairstow's 106 off 140 deliveries. Indian bowlers delivered dominating performance as Mohammed Siraj picked four wickets with skipper Jasprit Bumrah scalping three wickets, implying a total first innings lead worth 132-runs for the visitors.

While India now are in the driver's seat to bat out England out of the game, India's top-order barring Cheteshwar Pujara has failed once again. Shubhman Gill continued his poor form as he was dismissed on 4 off 3 deliveries by James Anderson in the first over of India's second innings. Hanuma Vihari departed next for 11 after handing over an easy catch to Jonny Bairstow off Stuart Broad in the 17th over.

Former Indian skipper Virat Kohli joined Test specialist Cheteshwar Pujara in the middle seeking to add valuable runs on board. While Kohli appeared to be in great touch as he struck Englishmen for a couple of boundaries, he once again suffered a failure, getting out for 20.

It was the 30th over of the match when England skipper Ben Stokes bowled an absolute jaffa which Kohli tried to defend but the ball got an extra bit of bounce from the pitch and went straight to the keeper's hand after kissing Kohli's gloves. As England wicket-keeper Sam Billings fumbled, it was world number one Test batter Joe Root, who was stationed at first slip and alert enough to get hold of the ball.
