It has been a season of the Indian Premier League like no other in the past. This is the first time in fifteen seasons, for instance, that neither Mumbai Indians or Chennai Super Kings will be playing in the Playoffs. While Mumbai had already been ruled out of the tournament, Chennai were knocked out following a defeat to the five-time champions on Thursday.

Their embarrassing performance with the bat attracted a lot of eyeballs and could not escape the eyes of former India all-rounders Yuvraj Singh and Suresh Raina. Yuvraj, who was enjoying an indoor football match along with Raina and Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty, in an Instagram story tried to troll Raina by saying that his team was bowled out for 97.

However, the Chennai legend popularly known as the "Chinna Thala" came up with an epic response by saying that he wasn't playing in the match.

Here is the video:

Talking about the match, despite being bowled out for 97, the Chennai bowlers did try hard in the second innings and reduced Mumbai Indians to 33/4. However, the partnership between Tilak Varma and Hrithik Shokeen helped MI get closer to their target before Tim David and Varma helped Mumbai knock Chennai out of the Playoffs race.

"Irrespective of how the wicket is, anything below 130 is difficult to defend, but what I asked the bowlers was to show a lot of character and forget about the result. Both the young fast bowlers (Mukesh Choudhary and Simarjeet Singh) bowled really well and I feel a game like this really helps them in believing in themselves that irrespective of the conditions, whenever we start we need to have the same kind of attitude and that's what is needed in the shortest format," CSK skipper MS Dhoni said after the match.
