Former all-rounder Yuvraj Singh is looking in sublime touch ahead of the Road Safety World Series cricket tournament. Yuvi has been prepping up for the T20 competition and even shared glimpses of his net session from the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium. The 39-year-old, who will be representing India Legends, was seen dominating a spinner as he hit it straight down for a maximum, in vintage Yuvraj fashion.

The Road Safety World Series will commence later on Friday with the opening clash between India Legends and Bangladesh Legends in Raipur. Since all the yesteryear stars have been away from cricketing action, they are all sweating it out to be in good nick once the tournament gets underway.

Couldn't make an impact with the bat in Road Safety World Series 2020

Yuvraj was also part of the India Legends side when the tournament started back in 2020. He had failed to deliver with the bat in the two innings that he played. While he scored an unbeaten 10 in the first match against West Indies Legends, it was Chaminda Vaas who got rid of him for just one run in the next game between India Legends and Sri Lanka Legends. In the only over he bowled last season, he had conceded 10 runs without picking any wicket.

Singh would be one of the fitter players from the Indian contingent and has played a few cricketing tournaments even after his retirement in 2019-20. Although Yuvraj was looking to play in the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament in 2021, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) decided to decline his request. It remains to be seen if Yuvraj can make an impact in the tournament and give his fans plenty more reason to be happy. Perhaps he can send them down memory lane with a few shots, rolling the back the years.
