The Indian Premier League is a platform where players get immense love no matter which franchise they play for or which country they belong to. The franchise fans form a bond with their players and remain like that forever. The same was seen in the RCB vs KKR match at the DY Patil Stadium. Some fans were seen holding a banner for Faf du Plessis with a special message written on it.

The fans wanted to convey the message to Plessis that although he has changed his franchise, they will remain his fan for life. The banner which the fans held high in the stands had written "We are CSK fans, but we are here for Faf". This roughly means that although the star batter has moved from Chennai Super Kings to Royal Challengers Bangalore, he will not his fans which he made while playing in the yellow jersey.

Intense battle between RCB and KKR

Every time Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders are up against each other, the battle is intense and interesting. The Thursday game was no different. After winning the toss, RCB captain Faf du Plessis invited Shreyas Iyer's men to bat first. And Plessis' ploy worked brilliantly for RCB as they reduced KKR to 44/3 in the first six overs.

It did not change much even after the end of the powerplay as KKR batters found ways of getting out. The first one to depart after the first six overs was the captain himself as he perished while taking on Wanindu Hasaranga. He was followed to the pavilion by Sunil Narine and Sheldon Jackson. Andre Russell showed some aggression as he hit three massive sixes, but RCB bowlers had a plan for him as well.

Harshal Patel got Russell with a beautiful off-cutter bowled outside the off-stump line. However, some late assault from Umesh Yadav helped helped KKR reach 128. The pacer then backed his batting with two wickets in the powerplay. He accounted for Anuj Rawat and Virat Kohli with two beautiful deliveries, making the chase interesting and intense.
