Chennai Super Kings have resumed their IPL 2021 journey the same way they started. MS Dhoni has led his team to victory in both the games they have played in the second leg. In the first game, CSK made a comeback after a batting collapse and went on to win the match by 20 runs, and then in the second one, their bowlers brought them back with a sensational display of death bowling.

Dwayne Bravo, their most experienced campaigner, exhibited his exceptional bowling skills and conceded only 24 runs from his four overs and also got three important wickets. He first removed dangerous-looking Virat Kohli and then Glenn Maxwell. Bravo was adjudged Man of the Match for his match-winning performance. The West Indies’ star shed light on his and his team’s performance in a video posted by CSK on Twitter. He said that he is happy to contribute to the team’s win and also revealed why is CSK successful.

“It’s good to contribute to the team’s win. My role is to enjoy playing the game, especially at the backend of the innings. I enjoy bowling to some of the best batsmen in the world. So, getting the Man of the Match is good but more importantly, getting the two points is important for me,” said Bravo. “Having someone like Rayudu, Raina, the experience they have, (they know) sometimes chasing small totals can be tricky. But the good thing about CSK (is that) we bat very deep and have loads of experience,” he concluded.

CSK beat RCB by six wickets

Chennai were clinical on Friday night as they comfortably chased down 156 with 11 balls left. It was their bowlers who set the game as they stopped RCB to a below-par total. At one point, with Kohli and Paddikal firing, RCB was eyeing 200 but CSK bowlers kept striking at regular intervals and didn’t give away any freebies at the end. After that, the opening pair of Ruturaj and Faf du Plessis gave them a solid start stitching a 71-run partnership. Moeen Ali and Rayudu did not let go of the momentum and kept scoring at a decent rate. It was Raina and Dhoni who sealed the winning moments for CSK.
