Sanju Samson and consistency have never gone hand in hand- this statement would have been backed easily if one had to do so before the Indian Premier League 2021. However, the ongoing edition saw a new version of Samson who could score runs consistently in all conditions. Samson is now the leading run-scorer in the ongoing IPL. His achievement becomes all-more important considering the fact that the conditions in second leg of IPL 2021 are entirely different than that in the first leg that took place in India.

Notably, this is Samson's 9th IPL season and only once in the past the batter was able to score 400+ runs. However, in this season he has already scored 433 runs at a sensational average of 54.12 and a strike rate of 141.96. This is definitely a big turnaround for someone like Samson who had an average of 27.59 before IPL 2021. Highlighting the class and potential of the star batter, former KKR player and cricket analyst Rajat Bhatia urged that people need to trust the abilities of Samson like they did in case of Rohit Sharma.

Results come if we show trust on any player: Rajat Bhatia

While speaking on SportsTiger Mid-Innings Live, Bhatia recalled the faith the selection committee and many former cricketers had put in Rohit Sharma before the batter became a star and stated that Samson also need to be trusted in the same manner.

"I hear IPL commentary and I heard to Gautam Gambhir while he talked about the trust India put upon Rohit Sharma which is now showing results. We need to show that trust on Sanju Samson because if we show trust on any player then the results also come," said Bhatia. His comments came following Samson's 82-run knock off 57 balls against Rajasthan Royals on Monday night at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Meanwhile, Bhatia also lauded SRH pacer Siddarth Kaul who conceded 20 runs in his third over but ended with figures of 2/36 in his overall quota of four overs.

"That was a good comeback from Siddarth Kaul... From the perspective of T20, this is an amazing comeback," said Bhatia.
