Five-time champions Mumbai Indians are having quite a nightmare at the start of the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League. Having lost three successive matches, Mumbai Indians are placed ninth in the points table.

Mumbai Indians put up a decent fight against Kolkata Knight Riders, but Pat Cummins' 15-ball 56 snatched away the hopes of their maiden win in the tournament. Following the heartbreaking defeat against KKR, Rohit Sharma gave a much-needed pep talk to the teammates in the dressing room.

"All of us need to take responsibility as a team and perform," Rohit was seen saying in the video posted by the Mumbai franchise's official Twitter handle. "I feel we are missing some ounce of desperation to win the game. We need to bring that depression from the first ball and keep it until last", the skipper added. Emphasising zeal to win the game, Rohit addressed the teammates by saying, "We need to stay on top of them. And the only way we can do that is by having that slight hunger and executing the discussed plans better in the field."

Rohit also made it clear that players don't need to panic at the moment as these are still the early days in the tournament. "We are known to bounce back, and we will do it once again. We need to surprise our opponents with our plans and display the courage we are known till now," added Rohit. Before concluding his speech, Rohit told his teammates, " Let's tap those crucial moments and snatch the victory from our opponents."

Mumbai Indians' next assignment is against RCB, which is expected to be a thrilling contest as Faf du Plessis-led side will look to continue their winning form.
