West Indies have announced a 17-member provisional squad for the home Test series against South Africa, which is scheduled to start on June 10. The two-match Test series will be played at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground, for which the Proteas team have already arrived.

The squad is expected to be further cut down to a 13-member squad on June 7, the West Indies board confirmed.

Hayden Walsh Jr returns, Jayden Seales gets maiden call-up

While Sheldon Cottrell, Oshane Thomas, Hayden Walsh Jr. returned to the side after missing out series against Sri Lanka, 19-year-old Jayden Seales gets his maiden call-up.

Notably, the series will be the final in the current cycle of the ICC World Test Championship. While Men in Maroon are 6th on the WTC table, the Proteas are standing at 7th.

Four fast bowlers Keon Harding, Preston McSween, Marquino Mindley and Nial Smith will remain with the squad to assist with preparations.
