West Indies clinched a 5-wicket win against India on Tuesday in the second T20I international at Warner Park in St Kitts, levelling the 5-match T20I series by 1-1. The 2nd T20I which saw the start of the match getting delayed by 3 hours brought the best out of the hosts as they bundled out Rohit Sharma & Co. for 138 in 19.4 overs after electing to bowl first.

Caribbean pacer Obed McCoy led the pace attack for the hosts as he picked six wickets in his four overs, conceding 17-runs. The southpaw rattled the Indian batting line-up in the second T20I as he dismissed the likes of Rohit Sharma (0 off 1), Suryakumar Yadav (11 off 6), Ravindra Jadeja (27 off 30), Dinesh Karthik (7 off 13), R Ashwin (10 off 6) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (1 off 3) in the 1st innings.

After West Indies went over the winning line, McCoy was adjudged as the Player of the Match for his excellent bowling spell. Post-match, McCoy dedicated his performance to his ailing mother and revealed that she has motivated him to become a better cricket and stay honest with his game. "I want to thank God. I am doing this for my mom, she is home sick. She has always motivated to do well and become a better cricketer," he said.

He further informed that Rohit's dismissal put the visitors on the back foot. "I always aim for wickets in the powerplay. It gives me a lot of challenge and experience. Helps groom me as a player. Rohit's dismissal put India on the back foot. He is such a quality batter and getting his wicket such early was a big motivation," he added.

Speaking of his performance in the 1st T20I the West Indies pacer revealed that he didn't have much clarity in his mind. He said he was overthinking about a lot of things. "I came here with a lot of clarity. It was not the same case in 1st T20I, lot of things were going in my mind. But today I was confident and wanted to win game for my team and mom," he concluded.

McCoy picked 1 wicket in the first T20I at an economy of 7.50.
