Ever since John Cena has confirmed about his comeback to the ring, the WWE world has sensed the excitement among the fans to see the return of the 16-time world champion in action once again. Cena is rumoured to square off against Roman Reigns at SummerSlam. However, the return of the American has also tempted former WWE champion Drew MClyntre, who has expressed his desire for a single match against Cena.

“I’ve been around John since I was 22 years old. I just turned 36 last week, I believe it was, and we’ve never had a significant singles match. We’ve actually never had any singles match, which blows my mind. We’ve been in tag matches together, multi-man matches together, and never had a singles match”, MClyntre commented expressing his wish for a fight against the Cenation leader.

“Neither of us have that power”- Cena on MClyntre’s match request

However, Cena believes that neither of them are in a position to make matches or make things happen. “I certainly am grateful for being mentioned, which is awesome, but I’ve never approached anything like, ‘I’d like to work with this person. I wanna have a match with this person,’ because I don’t make those choices. I think if we build expectations in our head, like I hate to say this to Drew, but if that never happens, how is he supposed to feel about that?”, Cena added.

"I'm a little bit older, a bit wiser - Cena now open to having kids

The 44-year-old parted ways with Hall of Famer Nikki Bella as Cena is adamant with his choice of not having a child. But it seems Cena now had a change of heart as he has hinted on the possibility of becoming a father with Shay Shariatzadeh, with whom he tied the knot last year.

"I'm a little bit older, a bit wiser. “I’m realising there is life and life exists and it's beautiful and I think part of that is being a parent, so we'll see," Cena added.
