With the league stage of IPL 2022 done and dusted, the focus now shifts to the playoff games. The first of which, Qualifier 1, is all set to be played on 24 May in Kolkata. The next important game, the Eliminator will be played the very next day at the same venue. However, the weather in the city has not been so pleasant in regards to favorable conditions for a game to happen.

It has been raining continuously in Kolkata and heavy thunderstorms are also being witnessed. The Eden Gardens stadium also suffered some damage with the strong winds shattering the glasses of the Pressbox. As the fans and players get ready for some breathtaking action in the Playoff games, they will be hoping rain doesn’t play a spoilsport. But what does the weather forecast for May 24 and May 25 says? Weather forecast for May 24

Weather.com has predicted scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon as well as during the night. The chances of rain range from 49% to 54% in a forecast by Accuweather. This means that Qualifier 1 between Gujarat and Rajasthan can get affected by rain.

Weather forecast for May 25

The weather forecast for May 25 (Eliminator) is almost the same as May 24, at least in the afternoon. There are predictions for thunderstorms and temperature to stay around 35℃. The chances for rain also is 50% in the afternoon. However, the weather is predicted to clear in the evening with the sky partly cloudy. The chances of rain is also predicted to go down to 24%.

This means that the Eliminator between Lucknow and Bangalore can see a full game with little interference from rain.
