Destiny 2 is set to hold a major showcase regarding its expansion plans, roadmap for the future and further details on its forthcoming season. With just around a week to go, the gaming community is pretty excited about the planned expansion of the title finally being unveiled for fans.

It is to be noted that minutes ahead of the launch of Season of Arrivals in 2020, Bungie had held a live event where they had revealed details about the Y4 expansion, Beyond Light. They had also disclosed the name of the next season before releasing it minutes later. All the Destiny 2 users and fans can expect something similar come August 24.

Here is all you can expect from the showcase on August 24:

Halo Crossover

Much like the Season of Arrivals before the release of Witch Queen, Season 15 is likely to be extended for a period of three months. There have been all sorts of rumours regarding the Destiny 2 x Halo crossover for some time, it is now being learned that it might happen during the second half of the next season and act as a filler before the Witch Queen expansion.

Although there is no official confirmation from Bungie, they might be announcing some details regarding the crossover. All eyes will also be on how the developers manage the three extra month period along with the dry content in Season 15.

Season 15

Bungie also tends to release a new season after displaying a big showcase event. And the Destiny 2 users would be waiting with bated breath for August 24 when something similar might happen. This is because they are set to reveal details on the Witch Queen but can also add a few features in Season 15.

Bungie can even have live discussions about significant crossplay changes, trial changes etc. to try and help the community better understand what to expect during the weekly reset ritual. Although there have been lots of speculation but no confirmation as to what the new season will be about.

Witch Queen

The event is also being touted as one where the future path of the company will be discussed. Last year, it was already informed that The Witch Queen and Lightfall will be the new expansions but the name of the latter is yet to be confirmed. Moreover, information on new subclasses and locations can be presented.
