Table-toppers Gujarat Titans will take on out of contention Mumbai Indians on Friday evening at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. Both the teams had contrasting results in their last outings as Mumbai won its maiden contest of the season against Rajasthan Royals. Meanwhile, the Titans were beaten by Punjab Kings in their previous fixture at iconic Wankhede Stadium.

Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat was cruising ahead with a five-match winning streak when they got a waking call against Punjab Kings. Inconsistent top-order was once again highlighted as this has been a significant concern for the side throughout the tournament. Shubman Gill and Wriddhiman Saha have been hot and cold in the season, and both the quality batters need to pull up their socks as the going gets difficult.

Sai Sudharshan scored a valuable 50 in 65 balls, while David Miller, Hardik Pandya, Rahul Tewatia and Rashid Khan bundled out cheaply. Gujarat's bowling has been one of the most lethal in the tournament. Despite a few challenges, the combination of Md. Shami, Lockie Ferguson, Alzzari Joseph and Rashid Khan have worked well for the side.

On the other hand, Mumbai Indians are already out of the race for playoffs after losing eight matches on the trot. But a win against Rajasthan Royals came as a sigh of relief for Rohit Sharma & Co. Failure of Mumbai openers has been the biggest concern for the side. Rohit and Ishan didn't perform up to the mark, while Kieron Pollard's bat has been quiet till now. Suryakumar Yadav starred with the bat for the team, and a lot will depend on him once again.

Daniel Sams and Riley Meredith have been inconsistent in terms of bowling, but Jasprit Bumrah is the most significant positive for the side, and he will once again lead the pace attack. Mumbai Indians will look to spoil the Titans' plan to reserve their berth in the playoffs with one more win.
