India and England are gearing up for the fifth rescheduled Test which is to be played at Edgbaston on 1 July. As the five-match Test series scheduled in 2021 was cut short with COVID-19 wreaking havoc in the Indian camp, the aim will be to complete that series. India are leading 2-1 and have a chance to win a Test series in England after 14 long years. However, the job won’t be easy for them considering the new-look England team.

A lot of things have changed from last year as England now have a new captain-coach duo with Ben Stokes taking charge as the captain and Brendon McCullum donning the head coach’s hat. Other than this major change, there will be one more change that will be seen during the fifth rescheduled Test between India and England. The timings for this Test will be half an hour earlier than a usual Test in England.

As per a Daily Mail report, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has decided to start the fifth Test half an hour earlier than the usual start time. The decision has been taken to accommodate the television audience on the subcontinent. “The ECB have brought forward the start time of this week’s replayed fifth and final Test between England and India at Edgbaston by half an hour to suit the television audience on the subcontinent,” said the report.
