The much-awaited ICC T20 World Cup is scheduled to take place from October 17 to November 24 across 4 venues - Sharjah, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Oman. The buzz for the World Cup is on a high ever since ICC announced the fixtures for the same. Though the World Cup is set to begin from October 17, fans will be eyeing at the Super 12 games, which are scheduled to begin from October 23rd.
The defending champions of the 2016 T20 World Cup, West Indies will kick start their campaign on 23rd October 2021 against England, who were the runners-up in the last edition of the T20 World Cup. With the Caribbean side lined up with superstars like Chris Gayle, Andre Russell, Kieron Pollard, Dwayne Bravo amongst others, it won’t be surprising if the two-time champions start off as favourites in this year’s T20 World Cup. Having said that, West Indies are definitely one of the top teams to watch out for. Although ranked ninth in the ICC T20I rankings, Windies still have a potential to strike forward given that they are the defending champions of the T20 World Cup and have a potential to bounce back.
