For the first time since 1998, Australia will play their first game on the Pakistan soil on March 4. The two sides will lock horns for a three-match Test series, followed by three ODIs and a solitary T20I match. Notably, the Test series has been named Benaud-Qadir Trophy to mark its first series in 24 years after two legendary leg-spinners Richie Benaud (Australia) & Abdul Qadir (Pakistan).

Also, just days ahead of the start of the series, Pakistan received a major blow as Haris Rauf tested positive for COVID-19. However, Naseem Shah has been added to the squad as his replacement for the series.
